U✓UD✓DO✓O converts files from the UDO format into Apple-QuickView,
ASCII, HTML, Texinfo, Linuxdoc-SGML, Manualpage, Pure-C-Help,
Rich Text Format, ST-Guide, LaTeX, Turbo Vision Help or Windows
Help.
Using the first method UDO prints the destination format to the
standard output (STDOUT) and error messages to the standard error
output (STDERR). Using the second method UDO writes the
destination format to the _✓d_✓e_✓s_✓t_✓i_✓n_✓a_✓t_✓i_✓o_✓n_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e and error messages to
a log file with the suffix .ul?.
You have to pass single options to U✓UD✓DO✓O: -al isn't the same as -a
-l!
The name of the source file has to be the last option.

-a, --ascii The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to ASCII.
-D symbol Set the symbol `symbol' which can be tested
in the source file with !ifset.
-g, --helptag The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to HP
Helptag SGML.
-h, --html The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to HTML.
-H, --hold You have to press a key before U✓UD✓DO✓O finishes.
-i, --texinfo The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to GNU
Texinfo.
--lyx The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to LyX.
-l, --no-logfile When using the Option -o U✓UD✓DO✓O doesn't save a
log file.
-m, --man The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to a
manualpage.
-n, --nroff The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to Nroff.
-o F, --outfile F U✓UD✓DO✓O writes the output into the file named
"F".
-p, --pchelp The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to Pure C
Help.
-q, --quiet U✓UD✓DO✓O won't print anything to STDOUT or STDERR.
-r, --rtf The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to RTF.
-s, --stg The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to ST-
Guide.
-t, --tex The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to LaTeX.
-v, --vision The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to Turbo
Vision Help.
-w, --win The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to Windows
Help.
-W, --no-warnings Warnings will be suppressed. Error messages
will still be printed.
-x, --linuxdoc The _✓s_✓o_✓u_✓r_✓c_✓e_✓ _✓f_✓i_✓l_✓e will be converted to
Linuxdoc-SGML.
-y, --no-hypfile U✓UD✓DO✓O doesn't save a file with syllabification
hints when using the option -o.
--help Outputs a help page and quits.
--test When using this option U✓UD✓DO✓O won't save a
destination file.
--tree When using this option U✓UD✓DO✓O will save a file
with the suffix .ut?. In this file you will
see a tree with all files your source file
includes.
--verbose U✓UD✓DO✓O will print some status information wile
converting the source file.
--version Outputs version information and quits U✓UD✓DO✓O.

Convert the source file `file.u' to ASCII (default) and
print the output to the standard output and error messages
to the standard error output.
u✓ud✓do✓o ✓ -✓--✓-t✓te✓ex✓x ✓ -✓-o✓o ✓ o✓ou✓ut✓tp✓pu✓ut✓t.✓.t✓te✓ex✓x ✓ f✓fi✓il✓le✓e.✓.u✓u
Convert the source file `file.u' to LaTeX and write the
output to the file named `output.tex'. Warnings, error
messages and additional information will be written to the
log file named `output.ult'.
u✓ud✓do✓o ✓ -✓-s✓s ✓ -✓-y✓y ✓ -✓-l✓l ✓ -✓-o✓o ✓ !✓! ✓ f✓fi✓il✓le✓e.✓.u✓u
Convert the source file `file.u' to ST-Guide and write the
output to `file.stg'. UDO won't save a log file or a file
with syllabification patterns.
E✓En✓nv✓vi✓ir✓ro✓on✓nm✓me✓en✓nt✓t
HOME UDO looks for the file udo.ini in your home
directory if U✓UD✓DO✓OP✓PA✓AT✓TH✓H doesn't exist.
LANG Sets the language UDO shall use for error messages
if neither L✓LC✓C_✓_A✓AL✓LL✓L nor L✓LC✓C_✓_M✓ME✓ES✓SS✓SA✓AG✓GE✓ES✓S exists.
LC_ALL If this is set to `german' U✓UD✓DO✓O prints German
messages. If this variable doesn't exist
L✓LC✓C_✓_M✓ME✓ES✓SS✓SA✓AG✓GE✓ES✓S it tested instead.
LC_MESSAGES See L✓LC✓C_✓_A✓AL✓LL✓L. If this variable doesn't exist, too,
L✓LA✓AN✓NG✓G is tested instead.
UDOPATH U✓UD✓DO✓O looks for the file udo.ini in the directory
defined by this variable. If U✓UD✓DO✓OP✓PA✓AT✓TH✓H doesn't exist
H✓HO✓OM✓ME✓E is tested instead.
